What it is
SEO Spider is LovableHTML's full-site audit crawler for technical and on-page SEO.
It crawls your pages, scores health, and reports issue codes you can filter and fix. The goal is simple: improve crawlability and indexability so your pages have better odds of ranking and being referenced by AI systems.
How it works
Start a crawl run from the SEO Spider tab
Run a full site audit for your connected domain. The crawler checks pages and stores issue-level results.
Review the run summary first
Use the top metrics to understand current state quickly: health score, issues found, issues fixed delta, and critical issue count.
Filter and inspect issue codes
Open run details, add issue filters, and inspect affected paths. Focus first on issues with the highest business risk.
Fix in your code or website builder
Apply content/meta/link/canonical fixes on the affected pages.
Re-run and compare deltas
Run another crawl and compare score and issue deltas against the previous run.
Which issues to pay attention to first
Fix now (highest impact)
| Severity | Issue codes to prioritize first | Why this matters |
|---|---|---|
| Critical | STATUS_4XX_5XX, ROBOTS_NOINDEX, SOFT_404, BROKEN_INTERNAL_LINKS, URL_NOT_HTTPS | These can directly block indexing, waste crawl budget, or break discovery. |
Fix next (important quality + consistency)
| Severity | Common issue codes | Why this matters |
|---|---|---|
| Warning | CANONICAL_MISSING_OR_MISMATCH, THIN_CONTENT, DUPLICATE_TITLE, MISSING_H1, META_DESC_LENGTH, TITLE_LENGTH, LCP_SLOW, BROKEN_EXTERNAL_LINKS, IMG_ALT_MISSING_OR_WEAK | These reduce relevance, snippet quality, and page quality signals. |
Improve continuously (optimization opportunities)
| Severity | Common issue codes | Why this matters |
|---|---|---|
| Opportunity | INTERNAL_LINK_COUNT_LOW, PAGE_DEPTH_DEEP, URL_STRUCTURE, UNBALANCED_LINK_RATIO, EXCESSIVE_INTERNAL_OUTLINKS | These improve internal discovery and long-term crawl efficiency. |
How to fix issues effectively
Use this triage sequence for each run:
Work by issue code, not random pages
Filter by one high-priority issue code and batch fixes across all affected paths.
Validate before changing anything
Our SEO audit bot flags issues based on best industry practices - and some may not apply to every site in every industry. You do not have to fix them all as long as they are not critical issues on your important pages.
Apply fixes in your stack
Update templates, metadata, content, canonicals, internal links, or status behavior in your builder/codebase.
Re-render and re-crawl to confirm
After shipping fixes, refresh snapshots and run SEO Spider again to verify issue reduction.
Copy prompt workflow (from the in-app quick tip)
When using "Copy prompt" to fix issue sets, follow this exact flow:
Paste the prompt in your AI website builder.
Publish the changes on the correct domain.
Re-render affected pages or the entire site.
Re-rendering may take around 10 minutes to 2 hours depending on site size.
Practical operating cadence
- Run SEO Spider after major deploys and content batches.
- Keep critical issues near zero.
- Use deltas (
issues fixed, issues found, health trend) to track whether changes are actually improving technical SEO.
